[Q] What is an edition?

The Silk screen works and giclee works have the edition numbers of Hideki Kimura's handwriting.

Edition (ED.) means "Limited Edition". And we call the "limited number" edition number (ED.No.).

In Ki-Yan Artwork, the edition numbers written by Hideki Kimura are attached on the back of the frame. 
They are expressed in fractions such as "18/50". 
(The denominator shows the number of same works.)
The numerator is not necessarily the order in which it was printed.
We check each of the works printed from the same plates and eliminate any defects. Finally only carefully selected works are given the ED.No..
It does not mean that the smallest number...


[Q] What is silkscreen printing?

It is a kind of printing technique.

The name comes from the fact that silk was originally used.

Nowadays, silk is not used. A chemical fiber mesh is put on an aluminum frame to make a silkscreen plate with parts that allow ink to pass through and parts that do not.

Make a plate for each color and each color is printed individually.Put ink on the screen and rub it with a spatula called a squeegee. First color printing → drying. The second color is printed → dried,...


[Q] Are there any metal fittings or strings on the back of the work?

Yes. There is a display bracket on the back of the work, and it is delivered with a string attached. (Some products are excluded.)

[Q] Does the price include the frame?

The original drawing's price includes a frame.

Regarding silkscreen, you can choose with a frame or no frame. 


[Q] Is there a shipping charge?

In principle, all of the artworks on this site are free domestic shipping.

*Please note that in the case of remote islands, we may consult with you about the shipping fee if there is a transit fee.

Delivery overseas is via DHL. Shipping fees are set by region and weight.
